It is part of a series of 17 trolleybuses put into service between 2007 and 2008 (numbers 61-77).

Eurobus Welti-Furrer AG: the articulated bus number 73 (Mercedes-Benz O530G Citaro, registration TG-229684) is operating on the ETH eLink line, which links the two campuses of the Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule Zürich university, at Unterführung Polyterrasse, in the center of Zürich and Hönggerberg.

This venerable veteran bus was put into service in 2006 by Cars alpins Neff (number 8, registration TG-18880), where it served PostAuto. At an unknown time, it was sold to Eurobus and renumbered 4235, although it continued to operate for PostAuto. In 2021, it was renumbered 73, re-registered TG-229684, and painted white, to serve as a reserve for the three then new Mercedes-Benz eCitaro G articulated electric buses serving this university line.

Apparently, in March 2025 it is still in service (19 years after being put into service), with the new number 17, being used for rail replacement services.

VBG Verkehrsbetriebe Glattal AG: this public company, owned by the affected municipalities and the canton of Zürich, operates local public transport in the Glattal and Furttal regions, as well as in the Effretikon/Volketswil area. VBG only plans and implements the transport offer, but the services are subcontracted to different operators, under a common brand image.

Autobusbetrieb H. Baumgartner AG (AZZK): on May 21, 1929, Hans Baumgartner-Kessler (1898–1966) began operating a bus service in Zollikon. On May 20, 1932, now 90 years ago, he founded the current company, with the aim of linking the communities of Zollikon and Küsnacht with the city of Zürich by public transport. The abbreviation AZZK stands for the trade name Autobusbetrieb Zürich-Zollikon-Küsnacht. In 1963 a concession contract was signed with VBZ for the operation of several lines that reach Zürich.

Currently, this small family business operates seven lines with a fleet of 24 buses: eight articulated, 12 standard and four microbuses.

Here we see the articulated bus number 69 (Mercedes-Benz Citaro C2 G, registration ZH-937469, put into service in 2019) arrives at the Bellevueplatz terminal, working a service in the suburban line 912 from from Itschnach, Fallacher.

Zimmerbergbus: the SZU railway company (Sihltal Zürich Uetliberg Bahn) operates the Horgen district's suburban bus network, the Zimmerbergbus. However, SZU does not have any buses, and services are outsourced to four different companies.

Here we see AHW Busbetriebe AG bus number 651 (Mercedes-Benz Citaro C2, registration ZH-878275, put into service in 2014) at Horgen station, working a service in the regional line 132 to Waldegg.

Genossenschaft Lokremise Uster: the Uster locomotive depot was built in 1856 by the Glattalbahngesellschaft. Has two buildings: Lokremise 1 in a square shape, and Lokremise 2 in a semicircular shape, which is the oldest building of this type preserved in Switzerland. In 1985 it was protected as heritage and acquired by the Canton of Zürich. It currently houses several heritage rolling stock from the Dampfbahn-Verein Zürcher Oberland (DVZO) and the Stiftung Eisenbahnsammlung Uster, and has been maintained since 1990 by the Genossenschaft Lokremise Uster cooperative.
