Cactus - Echinopsis, also known as hedgehog cactus, sea-urchin cactus or Easter lily cactus, flowering in my conservatory in the UK. Native to South America, the scented flower only lasts for a day. Captured early morning, before fully opening.

Mammillaria ist eine Pflanzengattung aus der Familie der Kakteengewächse (Cactaceae).
Der botanische Name der Gattung leitet sich vom lateinischen Wort mamilla für ‚Brustwarze' ab und verweist auf die mit „Warzen" versehenen Triebe. Die Gattung Mammillaria zählt gemeinsam mit den Opuntien und der Gattung Echinopsis zu den drei artenreichsten Gattungen der Kakteengewächse. Ihr Hauptverbreitungsgebiet befindet sich in Mexiko.

Abrieron una docena de flores de Echinopis y me armè este florero porque son nocturnas y el sol limita su vida.Las encuentro demasiado bellas para verlas cerrarse con el sol.
Por lo menos adentro de casa duran 24 horas...
De paso aprovecho de disfrutar su fragante aroma .
