EI-TLM 1 Airbus A300B4-203 TransAer International Airlines MAN 19JUN99

Replacing an earlier scanned photo with a better version, plus Topaz DeNoise AI 30-Apr-25.

One or two of TransAer's aircraft did appear with their own titles & logo from time to time (it could hardly be called a livery!)

An early A300, originally built as an A300B4-102. This aircraft was first flown in Mar-77 with the Airbus test registration F-WLGB. It was originally built for delivery to Thai Airways International but that was cancelled and it was stored at Toulouse, France.

It was re-registered F-WZEK in Aug-77 and the F-WZER in Apr-78. It was sold to Olympic Airways (Greece) as SX-BEB in Feb-79. It was sold to a lessor in May-91 and leased back to Olympic.

The aircraft was converted to A300B4-203 standard in Sep-92 and returned to the lessor in Jul-94 and stored. It was leased to Grand Air (Philippines) as RP-C8882 in May-95 and returned to the lessor in Jan-97 and stored again.

In Sep-97 the aircraft was leased to Trans Aer (Ireland) as EI-TLM. Trans Aer were a major ACMI lease specialist and operated both short and long term leases for many other airlines. It was wet-leased to Pakistan International Airlines between Dec-98/Apr-99.

It was wet-leased to Saudia Saudi Arabian Airlines between Feb/Apr-00. Trans Aer ceased operations in Oct-00 and the aircraft was repossessed by GECAS and stored at Bordeaux, France. It was moved to Marana, AZ, USA in Jan-01 for further storage.

In Jun-01 the aircraft was leased to Air Anatolia (Turkiye) as TC-ANI. It was wet-leased to Sudan Airways in Feb-02. Air Anatolia ceased operations in Oct-02 and the aircraft was returned and stored at Istanbul in Nov-02.

The remains of Air Anatolia later became FlyAir who did just as badly! The aircraft remained stored until it was broken up at Istanbul, Turkiye in Jul/Sep-08.
