Hydrogen-alpha emitting nebulae are bright, but all of whitish parts are not always emitting hydrogen-alpha light. Obvious reflection nabulae are whitish here, and wide-spread interstellar medium areas are also whitish. They are not emitting hydrogen-alpha light but reflecting light from stars nearby.
