Three Course Meall

a simple and straightforward ascent of Meall a' Ghiuthais from Kinlochewe. Other than the fact that it's uphill all the way to the top, a simple and straightforward route, mostly on a good path.Only a 10 mile round trip so plenty of time to stop and admire the views and the flora and fauna.

The Bleaker Side of Loch Kernsary

It seemed a lot longer walk on the way back to Poolewe, so I had to upload more photos than I did for the outbound leg to reflect that fact. It was a nice walk though, thoroughly recommend it even on a grey day.

Eriophorum (Cottongrass)

Eriophorum is a tough cookie, it likes it cold and inhospitable and thus, will be found abundantly in the Arctic region. Its soft little pompoms are sometimes used to stuff pillows. They look very beautiful in the wind.
