The third antennal segment is 4.5-5.5 as long as the second (about 3-4 times as long as the second in male mitis). The upper parafacialia only has 2-4 short hairs below the lowest parafrontal bristle (mitis has hairs more extensive and sometimes extending half way down the parafrontalia).

A good clue to this spcies is the three dark medan stripes at the frint of the thorax.
