With the spring trees reflecting on the pond and the lovely light of evening on the family, they look far more lovely and far more regal than the common Canada goose.
In this instance, the young Canada geese goslings are out in front, but they quickly formed their single-file line-up.

Some of the geese display a prominent white neck-band. According to the Sibley's guide, the band is typical for Aleutian population but occurs infrequently in all populations.
