This annual explosion of cherry blossom blooms in Sunderland Cemetery is an absolute feast for the eyes.
The entrance, just off Ryhope Road in Grangetown, is lined with an avenue of cherry trees, which for just a matter of days at this time of the year, produces a stunning display.
This afternoon in the spring sunshine, the blossom is reaching its all-too-short peak performance, so pleased I managed to capture before it disappears.

I've always liked this industrial view. A lot of Teesside's industry exists no more, but BOC's chemical plant does, and it provides a nice backdrop.
