In this day and age, bullying has transferred over to the Internet that has caused many deaths and suicides. Social media has also been a home to venomous language towards others, which has been a very touchy subject in this millennia. The Internet can't control who is putting what online, so sometimes people can abuse that power to hurt others

Since the Internet is so big, there are many things to choose from while downloading software. Unfortunately, not every form of software is the safest. Pressing the wrong buttons while downloading and searching for software can lead the computer into getting viruses and bugs that will mess with it's operating systems. Just like anything good, the Internet does have it's downsides, especially when it holds viruses that can kill computers for good, forcing the user to buy a new one.

That leaves people having to enter their credit card information for paying anything online, which can be dangerous. Hackers and computer specialist sometimes have the ability to access the information from a credit card and steal it. Even though the Internet is a huge convenience, there is some security risks in using it as well

Again, the Internet provides it's users with a lot of power that can be abused. Lately, a lot of people are illegally downloading music, which is considered a piece of property owned by artists. Through the use of torrents and other illegal software systems, music is physically being robbed from artists making their hard deserved money. Even though only a select few percent of people illegally download music, it categorizes us humans as a whole in a negative way

Even though the Internet can provide great educational service, not everybody is able to learn the same way. There are many different learning and teaching styles that are different to everyone. Unfortunately, online courses only serve a very limited teaching style because it is not face to face in a class. A lot of students learn best when they are involved with hands-on activities and are audibly learning from an instructor

Even though advertisements make the Internet free, sometimes their presence hinders the actual experience of the Internet. We have all experienced pop-up ads that blow up in front of the screen, and sometimes hurts our hands to click all the little "x's" to shut them. Sometimes closing them pops up even more ads! Depending on the website, ads can be an annoying factor while searching the web

Borders and Books a Million, for example, have all gone out of business because of their late start in the this industry, leaving a lot of jobs laid off. Entertainment is a want in human lives, not a need. And not all entertainment is appropriate entertainment for certain audiences. Unfortunately with the Internet, inappropriate forms of entertainment can be accessed by the wrong people and send out certain messages. Even though the Internet is very useful for saving time, it decreases the need for face-to-face interaction. Since a lot of job applications are mostly filled out online, it leaves the applicant at a loss to give the manager a face-to-face interaction which can be a deciding factor for a job opening or not. Good first impressions are always given with people interactions, not over an online resumé that can contain false information
