Finally, we're back home in Hull, meaning the metric ton of photos from the week just gone can finally get shifted onto the Flickr. We start where we left off with the odd one out from Tuesday afternoon - Parks of Hamilton, possibly the most famous independent coach firm to come out of Scotland besides Stagecoach. A mainly-Plaxton operator for the private hire side of the business, their in their coaches, most painted in this black and gold livery scheme, are distinguished by cherished plates, removed and placed on new coaches when the time comes to sell them for a premium. LSK 879 here - previously worn on a Scottish Citylink Elite which I caught in my last visit to Edinburgh - today takes the form of the more unusual 'cub' variant of Plaxton's Panther, a name revived from the 70s and 80s for shorter variants of Plaxton's frontline coaches. Quite a few of these to see in Scotland... not so much in England!
Kicking off proceedings once more, Parks of Hamilton's LSK 879, a 2022 Plaxton Panther Cub bodied Volvo B8R, is seen here dropping off tourist passengers while on private hire duties at the Queensferry viewpoint for the Forth bridges.
