Watercolour-like ..... I am very happy with the result of this shot of the long-tailed tit. A bit hidden between the twigs and the budding leaves. Still clearly visible to the eye but I was afraid that the foliage would make it difficult to get a good view of the tit, but the opposite is true.
As I already indicated in the title ....... watercolour-like but from the hand of mother nature.
Aquarelachtig ..... erg blij ben ik met het resultaat van deze opname van de staartmees. Een beetje weggedoken tussen de twijgjes en de ontluikende blaadjes. Voor het oog nog goed zichtbaar maar ik was even bang dat het gebladerde een goed zicht op de mees moeilijk zou maken, maar het tegendeel is waar.
Zoals ik al in de titel aangaf ....... aquarelachtig maar dan van de hand van de moeder natuur.

....... I have never had the opportunity to discover the nest of the long-tailed tit before .... very happy with it. Hopefully I can discover some activity in this nest a little further in the season. Unless it is completely overgrown by the luxuriant hydra ivy?
Out of respect for the nest inhabitants I took the photo from a respectable - and somewhat hidden - distance, the photo is a more than maximum crop just to be able to show this activity.
Lesley Hornby, aka "Twiggy" was a style icon from the 60s.
No idea what her nickname would have been if she had the curve of this long-tailed tit... what do you think?
