Approximately at the point of this photo a volcano has erupted again on the Canary Island of La Palma, exciting for hikers many years later, actually bad for the people directly affected by it.
Ungefähr an der Stelle dieses Fotos ist erneut auf der Kanareninsel La Palma ein Vulkan ausgebrochen, spannend für Wanderer viele Jahre später, aktuell schlimm für die unmittelbar davon betroffenen Menschen.

Das Atlashörnchen (Atlantoxerus getulus) ist eine in Marokko und Algerien verbreitete Art der Borstenhörnchen.
Über die Lebensweise ist wenig bekannt. Atlashörnchen bilden Kolonien in felsigen Gegenden des Atlas, wo sie in bis zu 4000 Meter Höhe vorkommen. Sie sind dämmerungsaktiv und ernähren sich hauptsächlich von den Früchten des Arganbaums (Argania spinosa).
Atlashörnchen wurden durch den Menschen auf Fuerteventura eingeführt und sind dort allgegenwärtig. In Touristenführern werden sie oft unter der falschen Bezeichnung „Streifenhörnchen“ geführt, mit den echten Streifenhörnchen haben sie nichts gemeinsam. (Wikipedia)
