Fairchild C-119L Flying Boxcar (msn 176) After sitting for years in various spots at ANC, it is seen here being readied for a move to Big Lake, Alaska. Form my collection and not my shot.
Built as C-119G 53-8073 for the USAF it was later converted to a C-119L. The last active owner was Brooks Fuel in Fairbanks, Alaska.
Sitting "abandoned" is this former USAF Boxcar. Now owned by the local Alaska Aviation Museum, it seems to have been in storage since before 2009, and periodically gets moved around the airport. Hopefully they can get this one restored and put on display.

Fairchild C-119L Flying Boxcar (cn 176) After sitting for years in the weed by the north ramp, it was moved to remote area on the south side of ANC
Built as C-119G 53-8073 for thr USAF it was later cvtd to a C-119L. The last registered owner was Brooks Fuel in Fairbanks.
