Often called the "floating umbrellas of the sea" the Pacific Sea Nettle can be found in the open waters of the Pacific Ocean, ranging from Alaska to Japan and California to Canada.
These beautiful creatures carry a nasty sting for whatever comes into contact with their tentacles. The tentacles normally have a 12 inches in diameter and can grow up to 15 feet in length.
Known for their distinctive golden-brown bell and long tentacles that are a force to be reckoned with.
Their tentacles are covered with stinging cells, which are lethal to prey.
It should be noted that their stings aren’t dangerous to humans, their sting is tabout the equivalent of a bee sting and can be painful.
