Comparison between Pashapasha mini, new Inamorato male doll and Inamorata 4.0.
Inamorata is trying on the new larger feet that can wear PP mini shoes. Notice that this doesn't work the other way around as Inamorato feet have shorter toes than PP feet. For comparison you can see the original smaller Inamorata feet next to the new ones.
When I sculpted the first Inamorata in 2012, I had a collection of Sybarite dolls and wanted to share their shoes. It bothered me that the feet were disproportionately small, but tiny feet were an industry standard then, set by the early Barbie dolls. I'm happy that nowadays most art dolls have realistic sized feet, but I struggled to find a way to change Inamorata feet. I didn't want to do a disservice to the long time collectors with a collection of shoes. With the new Inamorato I can introduce realistic sized feet that are compatible and sold separately for the Inamorata as well. This way collectors have the choice of size and maximum compatibility to share shoes with other 16" dolls, Pashapasha minis, Popovy, Sybarites, Numina, etc.
My own collection has always been very eclectic. I tried to collect at least one doll of every similar sized resin doll. In the early 2010's there were only a handful of dolls so that seemed doable, but now the market has exploded and I cannot even count all the different wonderful dolls out there. But styling dolls for display and photoshoots is my favourite aspect of doll collecting, so being able to share a wardrobe and shoes is pure joy !
