HISTORY:
Flush bracket emplaced around 1931. Levelled with a height of 307.721 feet, it was included on the Clitheroe to Lancaster secondary levelling line during 1952. The surveyor's description was NW face of Wesleyan Chapel, NE side of road. This secondary levelling line was later strengthend incorporating additional new five digit flush brackets. This flush bracket was included on secondary levelling line SD11, levelled during 1960. The surveyor's description was Methodist Church, NW face, 2.0m from W angle. This marker was last verified in 1960.
SITE VISIT:
Churchyard open. Left gable of church on buttress. Painted light brown otherwise in good condition.
