A quiet morning sat on a riverside in Northumberland as a pair of Dippers went about their business.
This one landed on a rock close to where I was sat and quite happily stayed there for 20 minutes. I can’t remember ever having one sit for so long, they are normally extremely restless and constantly on the move. Eventually a quick stretch and it was off
Known just as Dipper in the UK there are several species in the family worldwide so is also known as White-throated Dipper (Cinclus cinclus)
