1083 was new to Lothian Buses in 2018 as 1083.
She is seen here at Leith Walk.
She was originally given the number plate SG68 LCE, but she wasn't used in public service until the plates changed so she was then given new plate SJ19 OWY.
A total of 78 Volvo B8L bodied Enviro400 XLB's were ordered and put into service from November 2018 to April 2019 (May be a few exceptions.)
All 77 Enviro400 XLB's are currently operated by Central Depot (CE) as they have always done so far in their lives.
These buses have 100 seats and can hold up to 126 passengers (Including standing positions) which is great for shuttle buses, in turn these tend to do "Scottish Rugby Shuttle Runs."
These buses can carry around 100 passengers. They have a front and rear door to speed up the times spent at bus stops. They were intended for use on Services 11 and 16.

Tri-axle 1083 was seen on the city centre end of London Road while working route 7 from Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh to Newhaven. Route 7 is one of a number of services diverted northbound via London Road and Easter Road in view of the ongoing tramworks on Leith Walk. Previously known as Royal Terrace Gardens, London Road Gardens were established in 1829 to preserve the views from Royal Terrace and replaced two small quarries.
