A White-bellied sea eagle (Icthyophaga leucogaster) flew overhead. This bird is found in India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Burma, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Indochina, the Philippines, southern China, and Australia.
The bird is revered by indigenous people in many parts of Australia, and is the subject of various folk tales throughout its range.
