Le Manakin filifère (Pipra filicauda) est un oiseau qui appartient à la famille des Pipridés. Il est présent dans la foret amazonniene, dans les sous-bois denses ce qui le rend difficile à photographier. Il tient son nom des plumes de sa queue qui se terminent en filaments. Ici, il s'agit d'un mâle, comme souvent, la femelle est un peu plus fine et arbore moins de couleurs.

A main objective of the afternoon was to get some good views of this manakin - our previous sightings were very brief. It took time, but we were rewarded with some great views even if it was in deep shade.
We also had Golden-collared Tyrannulet (a lifer) and White-fronted Nunbird, but that was about it. Then it was back to the lodge.
