RUFOUS ANTPITTA Grallaria rufula. This Rufous Antpitta is foraging for food along the main trail at the high altitude Yanacocha Reserve on the northwestern face of Volcán Pichincha west of Quito, Ecuador at 10:45 AM on July 23, 2013. The elevation here is 3,400 meters (11,155 feet).

Rufous Antpittas dwell in the Andes from northwestern Venezuela to Bolivia.

The Tawny Antpitta belongs to the family Grallariidae and resides in the Andes in Colombia, Ecuador and northern Perú.
