New Renault Scenic review Better roof than a Rolls-Royce

Sell your car for free with Carwow: bit.ly/Sell-Your-Car-For-Free...

This is the all-new Renault Scenic!

In the past, the Scenic was renowned as an MPV people character, but the design has now been updated to make it more like an SUV. What’s more, it’s also ditched the internal combustion engine and gone electric only!

So does the new Scenic have what it takes to compete with class leaders like the Skoda Enyaq and Tesla Model Y? Let's take a closer look

We'll start with the design, and around the back, the Scenic looks pretty smart, and it comes with a set of futuristic & thin tail lamps. However, the lower part of the car sticks out, and we think it looks a little strange. Along the side, the car we have here (the range-topping edition) comes with smart chrome surrounds, and there’s also a full-length panoramic roof. Along the front, there’s a smart-looking grille, coupled with some thin headlamps.

Step inside and the Scenic is a pretty smart car. There’s a large infotainment screen that sits in the centre of the dash, and the digital dials screen is also pretty large and comes with a number of different settings to choose from. The cabin has some soft-touch materials, but there’s also a fair share of scratchy plastics.

As the Scenic has now ditched the engine, there are just two battery options to choose from. The entry-level is a 60kWh battery with a range of up to 260 miles and a single 170hp motor. Alternatively, you can choose the 87kWh battery, which comes with a range of up to 379 miles and a single motor that delivers 217hp.

So what do you think - does the new Scenic have what it takes to compete with the best? You’ll need to stick with Mat and see for yourself!

All-new 2025 Renault Megane E-Tech - Electric cars that surpass Tesla in sophistication

“An electric car that is not only environmentally friendly, but also has seductive performance? The Renault Megane E-Tech 2025 comes with a surprise that will make you think twice before choosing another car!”

The Renault Megane E-Tech 2025 is the perfect blend of futuristic design, advanced technology and impressive performance. Built on the CMF-EV platform, the car is lighter, more efficient, and has a lower center of gravity for more precise handling.
Powered by a 220 HP (160 kW) electric motor with 300 Nm of torque, acceleration from 0-100 km/h can be achieved in 7.4 seconds-quite responsive for a car in its segment. The 60 kWh battery with ultra-slim technology makes the cabin more spacious without sacrificing power capacity. With a range of up to 450 km (WLTP), this car is ready to accompany daily trips or long-distance road trips.
And if you need a quick charge? The 130 kW fast charging technology allows charging from 20% to 80% in just 30 minutes-enough to enjoy a cup of coffee while waiting for the car to get going again!

The interior of the Renault Megane E-Tech 2025 is equally luxurious. A seamless 12.3-inch OpenR display merges with a 9-inch touchscreen, all running on the Google Automotive operating system with Google Maps, Assistant, and Play Store integration. The audio system from Harman Kardon ensures that every journey comes alive with premium sound quality.
In terms of safety, the car features Active Driver Assist, which combines Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Centering for a safer semi-autonomous driving experience. There's also Blind Spot Warning, 360-degree Camera, and Automatic Emergency Braking that make every trip more serene.

So, ready to level up to a more futuristic driving experience? Renault Megane E-Tech 2025 is not just an electric car, it's a revolution in the automotive world! It's time to take a test drive and see for yourself!

FIRST DRIVE New Renault Scenic electric! Has Renault won the space race (Electrifying.com) by no.to.foreign.energy

FIRST DRIVE New Renault Scenic electric! Has Renault won the space race (Electrifying.com)

You’ve heard of the Renault Scenic, right? It was something of a household name through the nineties and noughties, having been a phenomenal success as an affordable and brilliantly utilitarian, if rather boring MPV. Then the family crossover-SUV came along, and the MPV died off – so much so that the Scenic was discontinued altogether in the UK by 2019. But now it’s back and – you guessed it – it’s morphed into a stylish crossover-SUV that’s out to topple the popular Peugeot 3008, Skoda Enyaq iV and Nissan Qashqai.

The Renault Scenic E-Tech only gets one powertrain, which features a 215bhp electric motor on the front wheels, and a 91kWh lithium-ion battery with an 87kWh usable capacity to power it.

This brings an official WLTP range of up to 379 miles, which is seriously impressive and is usefully better than you’ll get from the Skoda Enyaq iV, VW ID.4, Peugeot e-3008 and even the much more expensive Tesla Model Y. A smaller battery Scenic is offered in mainland Europe, but it’s unlikely to come to the UK.

Charging speeds are good on the Scenic, too, with a peak 150kW charging rate being on a par with or better than many of those rivals, although the Tesla Model Y, Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6 will charge at over 200kW. When plugged into a powerful enough rapid charger, the Scenic can suck up enough electricity for a 20-80% charge in around 25 minutes. A 7kW home charger will manage a full charge from nearly empty in some 13 hours.

Join Nicola as she puts the new Renault Scenic E-Tech through its paces for the first time. Has Renault built a winner? Is it on your shortlist? Let us know in the comments below.
