At last - a First bus that I can confidently say is still in service! Despite the infliction of 'Urban' livery with a golden element of route branding before sale to McGill's, Midland Bluebird 67781 managed to survive the big transfer and even made it back to Edinburgh in a... very garish orange and light blue livery for the vastly-expanded BrightBus operation: at present, McGill's is warring with Lothian on the Edinburgh Airport corridor, utilising a fleet of ex-First Enviro300s proclaiming BrightBus to be the 'brightest and best way' to the airport. If you ask me? The 'best way' is a newer, dare I say 'exotic' tri-axle municipal bus over some crummy ex-First Enviro300s.

Still running to this day on Princes Street, albeit for a different purpose than it did in 2018, First Midland Bluebird's 67781, a 2012 ADL Enviro300, is seen heading up Princes Street on an unknown service.

McGill's commenced their new Edinburgh Airport Express service on New Year's Day 2024 using a fleet of Alexnder Dennis Enviro300's, in Bright Bus livery, that were previously used on West Lothian services that were withdrawn in December 2023.

Aw, Rovers lost. By the thinnest of margins, too. But despite a few mistakes, they made a quality showing and even were leading at one point! At least there are some positives to look back upon. Coaches, unfortunately, proved impossible to photograph this time around, despite my relative closeness to the Pink coach park, but I was able to get just one or two vehicles, like last time, of the Metropolitan Police - including this small Vivaro carrier van parked just outside a staging area opposite Wembley Arena. You'll find, however, that this'll be the best I'll get of the police this time.

The only full shot of a Metropolitan Police vehicle I was able to get that Saturday, the Metropolitan Police's LHL, a 2022 Vauxhall Vivaro carrier van, is seen parked along Engineer's Way on the day of the 2023 Challenge Cup Final. Shortly after taking this photograph, the van would turn around and set off on patrol someplace.

Clearly demonstrating one of yesterday's frustrations, this Go-Coach liveried Enviro 400 is pictured departing the Baslow Nether End timing point, on an almost empty trip from Chesterfield to Bakewell. With the withdrawal of the alternate X70 journeys, we are back to one bus an hour again on that route, so there are fewer opportunities to catch a variety of vehicles in this part of the Hulley network.

Originally a London bus, new to Metroline, it has been with Go-Coach since 2020, and is said to be a loan here at Hulleys.
