Fledge Watch Day #2 - PM edition: The Eyasses on their #39th day since hatching, but I was called down after dinner because Libby was reported on the ground. Sure enough Deb found her along Water Street, grounded. Jennifer Kuroda boxed her up to re-release her on the tower. Unable to let her go through the north window she was released through the south side. Meanwhile both parents were going crazy flying, screaming, and even diving at one another during the release.

Can only stay away from the Peregrine Falcons for only so long. Back to working on some earlier 2024 falcon files from downtown Rockford. Here is Brian and he and Louise were working on creating this year's wonderful brood of Peregrines.
Adult male Peregrine Falcon, Brian, and adult female, Louise observed both sitting up on the north side of the Iconic Energy Building in downtown Rockford, Illinois. Winter 2024.. After a while Brian flew over to where Louise was sitting and began to mate with her.
Fledge Watch Day #3 - three fledglings by their #40th day since hatching; Lewis flew over to the Luther High Rise and back and Libby slipped and ended up flying around the building 3.5 times before landing on one of the screens on the north side of the tower. She was able to get herself loose only to fly around the corner and land in the river (our second river falcon in as many days). Libby later flew north along the river but has not been relocated as of this afternoon.
