We stayed at the Vidanta Grand Mayan just north of Puerto Vallarta, with a lively expanse of beach that eventually meets the jetty at the Nuevo Vallarta Channel and Marina. The jetty offers many wonderful picturesque views along the oceanfront.

Enjoying a sunny walk along the beach on our winter vacation to Nuevo Vallarta in March 2025. We stayed at the Vidanta Grand Mayan, which sits on a wonderful stretch of beach where the Ameca River joins the Pacific Ocean, just north of Puerto Vallarta. This natural area of shallow beach flows out into the ocean, offering a great vantage point for photos and a magnificent place to simply experience in person. This was our third time at this resort location and walking to this spot, while it is a little different each time, has always been a highlight.

Front row palapa, anyone?!? This resort is huge yet it was crowded up within the resort and around the pools. But there were plenty of lounging opportunities along the beach, and in addition to a calmer quieter location I absolutely love the view just staring at the ocean… And that’s what we did, all day, all week, here at the Vidanta Grand Mayan in Nuevo Vallarta during our winter vacation in March 2025.
