Manston, UK - 10 July 1988
RAF Manston Air Day 1988
TY-BBW was repainted in full colours at Stansted around Jan 88, but seems to have done very little flying after this, spending long periods on the ground at both Stansted and Manston before being permanently withdrawn from use at Ostend in mid-1989. It must have been one of the last operational Boeing 707s still fitted with the original JT4 turbojets.
It looks like it may even have been open to the public at the Manston Air Day, which seems somewhat unusual for a presidential VIP aircraft! Presumably it was no longer actually owned by the Benin Government by this time.
