According to a reasonably well-referenced Wikipedia article about the building, it was built as a Blue Cross Blue Shield building in 1958-1960, then remodeled with glass panels in 1982, after Blue Cross Blue Shield moved out. In the foreground is a yellow guardrail parking lot.
KEEP STARING AT THE PICTURE UNTIL SOMETHING HAPPENS. Just kidding!

A taste of this
intersection between
Chinatown and Olvera Street
in downtown L.A.
February, 2010.
Always good to
know where the
closest bailbondsman is,
and good that this one
requires no collateral
and also takes
collet calls.
