A card I have made for the current Hero Arts challenge using my new Layered Snowflake Die. More details on my blog
This card lesson is cutting out portions of the pattern from a background stamp. I really kind of struggled with this one. The card is ok not my fave. I again used the Hero Arts Lattice stamp (331065) stamped with gold pigment ink which it may be hard to see in the photo. Then I cut out the diamond shapes. I also stamped the swirls with the same ink and the Hero Arts stamp Flourish Background (CG119). The diamond shapes are colored with Copics. The sentiment is from Hero Arts stamp set Good Friends (CL578). If anyone has any thoughts on how to lay out diamond shapes let me know.

The theme of this scramble was rainbows or butterflies or both so I came up with rainbow butterflies.
I used the following HA stamps:
Butterflies CG130
Flourish Background CG119
To color the butterflies I used some pastels I have had for quite some time. For the background I stamped with Distress Ink - Milled Lavender. The card and most of the embellishments are from Jayne. Thanks!
This was for HA Scramble 63 which was a color palette challenge and I selected Summer Snack Hues #32. I got a little rushed and after it was over decided I did not like the flower I added so I changed it up a bit.
I used the HA stamp Delicate Blossoms (CL449) on the inside of the card and colored it with Copics. On the front of the card I used a Rubbernecker background stamp with HA Apricot ink and HA Flourish Background (CG119) using Versamark and clear embossing powder. To cut the window I used Spellbinders die Romantic Rectangles (S5-090) and to cut out the green butterfly with die Butterflies Two (S3-146). The other butterfly is from HA stamp and die set Antique Flowers & Butterflies (657773).
This is for HA Scramble 63 which was a color palette challenge and I selected Summer Snack Hues #32. I decided to try something new which was a window card. Maybe not the best time to try a new thing but hey now I tried it.

This was the 59th Scramble and a great theme of Sunshine.
On this card I used a couple of Lawn Fawn stamps that I won (yippee) and HA stamps Flourish Background (CG119) and Antique Flowers and Butterflies (657773). I used HA ink Butter Bar, Distress Ink Wild Honey and ColorBox ink Amber. The butterfly is embossed with Amber ink and Sparkle and Sprinkle Tequila Sunrise embossing powder which I really like and it is the first time I have used it. The glitter on the sun is Martha Stewart Fire Opal. I used Spellbinders Labels Seventeen for the sentiment. I colored the seam binding with Wild Honey ink, I tried to have a bow on there but that just wasn't working.

I used Hero Arts Square Pattern with Squeezed lemonade distress ink. I cut and trimmed to make a panel for lower half of the card. For the top part, I masked the edge and then using some Grey Flannel Memento Ink, stamped the Flourish Background. The sentiment is also a Hero Arts sparkle clear set. I stamped the butterfly from a Hero Arts/Sizzix stamp and die set. Added some stickles to the butterfly and a few gems
Entering this into Runway Inspired and Hero Arts as I used the sketch for this month
For this HA scramble I followed the center vertical row (pink & green, patterned paper and die cuts). Had the piece of patterned paper scrap on my desk from a previous card. Stamped the rose in TH distress tattered rose and victorian velvet. The leaves are peeled paint and shabby shutters. HA and PTI stamps. Used versamark for the background and SU river rock base.
Another "homework" card. This uses the technique of stamping on pp, embossing with clear powder and then ironing off the embossing after going over it all with various inks. HA and PTI stamps, HA pool shadow inks and versamark. Again, I will stamp a sentiment in the lower right corner to fit the occasion.
