Fringed orange and yellow tulip.
They get their name from the distinct frayed edge on their petals.

Beautiful Love in a Mist flower.
Taken a few months earlier from a tub in our garden.
This beautifully named flower is slightly poisonous, and never be consumed in it's entirety.
However, parts can be used for culinary or decorative purposes.
I grew these flowers from seeds, and the seeds contain the toxic
alkaloid damascenin, however can be eaten in small quantities.
They have an intense nutmeg-like flavour.
Some say it aids coughs !!! But not clinically proven.
