The Great 4014 Train Chase
Safety first. Engineer, Ed Dickens has placed the Blue Flag of protection outside the cab's window of the locomotive. Meanwhile other crew-members prepare to do service and inspection work on the locomotive.
So what do the Blue Flag of protection represents? "Blue flag protection within the railroad industry provides safety to workers by insuring that the equipment they are working on or near is not moved." So basically the UP 4014 has been locked out preventing the locomotive from being moved while the workers work around and under the locomotive and train.
