Home Altar table

The photos of my home altar have, by far, been my most popular photos on Flickr, so I thought I might provide a few more! Here is a wider photo of the inside of my altar and it lets you see the way the glass top opens, allowing me to put beautiful, meaningful things inside, as well as on the top. Your comments on this photo would be greatly appreciated!

Home Altar by Candlelight

The photos of my home altar have, by far, been my most popular photos on Flickr, so I thought I might provide a few more! Here it is by candlelight. I especially love to light the candles when I'm stuck at home from work on a snow day and let them burn all day, reminding me that God is there with me! Your comments on this photo would be greatly appreciated!

Home Altar items inside

The photos of my home altar have, by far, been my most popular photos on Flickr, so I thought I might provide a few more! Here is the inside of my home altar. In the very bottom is a beautiful cloth of gold, then on top of that is an open copy of The Rohan Master which are medieval illuminated scriptures. There is a blessed cross ornament given to me by my boss, a picture of a guardian angel, a bowl of glass pieces with words like faith, hope and joy on them, an old holy card album made by my great grandmother, my grandma's old first communion prayer book, a beautiful, flat, iron cross and some roses because every altar needs some flowers. Your comments on this photo would be greatly appreciated!

Home Altar Surface

The photos of my home altar have, by far, been my most popular photos on Flickr, so I thought I might provide a few more! Here is the top of my home altar. I suggest you always keep your alter very clean, dust it every week and never pile junk on it. That way it is always a beautiful, serene place to catch your eye and to be open to prayer.
