Love the fall grasses along the trail.

This small passenger station was built in 1902, and remained in operation for the next 70 years before its closure in 1972. It served trains of the Gulf Mobile & Ohio RR. The tracks are now those of Union Pacific RR; the Amtrak Linclon Service and Texas Eagle trains use them. I'm wondering whether it srved the adjacent Illinois Terminal Railroad, whose former right-of-way is now the alley in the distance.
The station is the southern terminous of the Interurban Trail, which uses the former Illinois Terminal right of way.
