It's in Prague in 1978, so still very much in the communist period. I found this in a biscuit tin of papers belonging to my parents. The addresses listed are: Kamenická 6, Praha 7 (which is a flat to this day) and Elišky Peškové 5, Praha 5 (which looks like it's now a bar but perhaps it was a venue operated by the MNV, a communist-era local committee, back then?). I could have this all wrong: Google translate reckons the wedding took place at Zbrazlav cemetery!
I think the connection to my parents must Mrs Vybiral - an elderly lady much loved by mum and dad who kept an eye on me after school quite often. She lived in the two-storey block of flats next-door to our house in Grace Way, Stevenage. I don't remember anything about her except the little brown paper bags of blackjacks and fruit salads she'd give me. Given her age then, in the 1970s, I'm going to speculate that she might have led quite a life before settling in that little flat.
I don't think my parents went to the wedding.
