Joel Culpepper performs 'Woman' with Swindle at the No More Normal album showcase in Bush Hall.
This performance was a crowd-pleaser. Joel Culpepper is not only a performer - his vocal range especially at a maintained high pitch is amazing. A consistent collaborator with Swindle over the years, I've since come to appreciate the singer in his own right.

Swindle and special guests at the end of the No More Normal album showcase in Bush Hall.
I was trying to get as close to the stage as I could from where I was positioned with my standard 18-55mm lens, so this photo does not account for the full 'No More Normal' lineup. Included are Knucks and Etta Bond. You can see Kojey Radical behind Swindle slightly, but I compensate for not getting him properly in the next photo.

This was the first show I had ever gone to and coming from an environment where independent and underground music gets overlooked, I knew I had to go by myself if I was to fully appreciate it. I was rewarded with an evening which took me from skanking and spitting to Swindle in the comfort of my home to meeting my favourite producer. I also met a guy who also came by himself, Tom, which made me feel more comfortable in this new setting.
The show was so immersive, too. Fans, performers and supporters got to meet each other and intermix, inviting me to meet among many guests Joel Culpepper and Kojey Radical. Both of them in separate convos took me for more than "the guy with a camera", from Kojey Radical's simple gesture at my Nikon and saying 'good luck' to Joel inviting me backstage to take this photo. I learnt a week later that it made good promo for 'Caroline No', featuring Swindle, Kojey and (if that wasn't enough) Joker on the mix!
Thank you to all who I met for the experience and to close off this photo album in the words of Swindle: peace, love and music.
