Fresken wurden dort 1785 von Joseph Matthäus Ott geschaffen, das Chorfresko 1880 durch Joseph Sattler erneuert. Aus demselben Jahr stammt der Hochaltar mit Kreuzreliquie. Zwei Seitenaltäre dienen als Reliquienschreine für die Heiligen Regina und Thekla.

Mereenie Loop – Outback-Feeling pur!
Der Pistenabschnitt verbindet den Stuart Highway mit dem Watarrka-Nationalpark. Die unbefestigte Straße führt durch das Land der Aborigines.
Der Larapinta Drive verwandelt sich in die staubige Mereenie Loop Road. Die Piste darf nur mit einem Allradfahrzeug befahren werden. Weicher Sand und Schlaglochpiste wechseln sich ab. Die Straße ist holprig aber spannend; ein kleines Abenteuer, insbesondere, wenn es in die Dunkelheit geht. Auf 130 km ist kein einziges Fahrzeug entgegen gekommen, aber ein Radfahrer:-
