Im Jahr 2007 waren noch wenige GT4 in Nordhausen aktiv. Einer von denen war der Wagen 79. 1991 als Wagen 523 von den Stuttgarter Straßenbahnen erworben, verschlug es ihn 21 Jahre später nach Iași.
Am 20. Juli 2007 hat der Wagen gerade die Haltestelle Rückertstraße in Richtung August-Bebel-Platz verlassen und wurde in der Kützingstraße abgelichtet.
