Zum Faschingsumzug in Dahn wurde vom Zweckverband ein Sonderzug bestellt. Der Sylt-Shuttle-Plus 628 507 kam zwar nicht von Westerland, sondern nur aus Landau in's Wieslautertal gefahren. Am Beginn des Planetenweges südlich von Hinterweidenthal bot sich die Sonne für ein Motiv an.

Vergangenen Samstag konnte man 628 441 auf dem Buntenthäler antreffen. Bei bestem Wetter im Wieslautertal beschleunigt besagter Triebzug gerade aus dem Haltepunkt Busenberg-Schindhard hinaus. Er ist als RB 56 auf dem Weg von Bundenthal-Rumbach nach Hinterweidenthal Ost.
