Vartiations on a them - Former East Kent WJG470J with Plaxton Panorama Elite coachwork (built 1970) and WFN513 with Park Royal bodywork (built 1961) at the Herne Bay bus rally - Sunday 9 August 2015
Both had AEC Reliance chassis, but there were variations in length and engines used over the years.

AEC Reliance 6U3ZR - Plaxton Panorama Elite II C53F
New to this Operator during May-1971
Beautifully restored to its former glory , at the Southsea Bus Rally .
A selection from the rally...
WJG 470J was new to East Kent, Canterbury in May 1971. It was a 12 metre long AEC Reliance 6U3ZR fitted with Plaxton 'Panorama Elite 11 coachwork. Withdrawn in November 1981 it was subsequently sold to the East Kent Canteen & Drivers Club, Canterbury a year later. Here it is seen at an unknown date in 1983 accompanied by East Kent Leyland National 1151/1R/0102 driver trainer P194 (GKE 504L) which was new to Maidstone & District.
Seen at the 2011 London Bus Preservation Trust Spring Gathering at Dunsfold Aerodrome is WJG 470J, a preserved AEC Reliance/Plaxton Panorama C53F coach, new to East Kent in 1971.

Its open to debate but WJG 470J an AEC Reliance 6U3ZR fitted with Plaxton Panorama “Elite 11” is certainly a stunner. This coach was one of a batch of four new to East Kent in April / May 1971. Here it stands at the South East Bus Festival which was held at Detling on April 2nd 2016.
