Four ladies all dressed in Miao traditional costumes, each busy in her own ways on her mobile ...
The Rainbow Bridge straddles the Tuojiang River and dazzles after dark. The lights beautifully showcase the graceful architectural forms, the water flows gently under the arches, the cool wind blows gently, the music floats by and the reflection of lights dye the water multicolours.
This charming ancient town is over 1400 years old. It features multiple ancient towers, bridges, narrow streets and old buildings as well as rich culture of Miao, Tujia and other 26 minority ethnic groups.
The Tuojiang River flows right through the town. We took a leisurely evening stroll along the banks and found it an absolute delight. The buildings stand on stilts on the water edge; the lights and the reflection accentuate the graceful lines and forms.
