Just north of Central Station is the S-Tog station of Vesterport. Main line trains run alongside the S-Tog.
A three car emu is on the rear of a northbound train.
My last train on this back to back parade of trains at Sully Springs was this empty oil train bound for Fryburg, ND, which is just a few miles east of here. It was quite the eventful morning at this spot, and I'd stick around for a couple more trains later in the day.

The darkness has rolled in as BNSF 5511 & 4320 power their manifest train near Scott City on June 10, 2010.
Probably a little desperate taking this shot, but this was my first time railfanning in the Mid-West and with the Global Financial Crisis biting, the rail traffic was well down on normal volumes, so it was a matter of shooting everything that was seen - moving or not!

A juvenile Red-shouldered Hawk (Buteo lineatus) observed sitting up on a tree limb over the wetlands at Nygren Wetland Preserve during fall 2024. Not a species that I see this closely so thrilled to ge able to get some pictures of it in multiple positions.

Ah yes, group shots. That's the best part of keeping all the stuff I build in the same scale. Time for a size comparison between the MiG-23 and the Su-24M. Aircraft with such similar designs that people often confuse them. However, here it is clear that the Fencer is a much larger machine.
