In the early 1960's Castle 5073 Blenheim makes a vigorous departure from Paddington with a train probably for South Wales as the loco was allocated to Cardiff Canton (88A) at the time. 5073 was transferred there in September 1961 and on closure of Canton to steam in September 1962 moved on to Cardiff East Dock (88L) from where it was withdrawn in February 1964. Two Castles withdrawn from the same shed a few months earlier, 5029/43, were sent to Barry and future preservation, but 5073 met its end at Hayes of Bridgend.

This cute little Midland Red single decker 5073 was new in 1962 she ended her days in 1977 and 5073 passed to a private owner in September 1974 and acquired by Wythall and is part of the Midland Red Collection.
