Barbados is the eastern most island of the West Indies. We spent time on the east coast of the island, which is on the Atlantic Ocean and extremely windy - next nearest country to the east is Senegal, Africa. The beach was clogged with seaweed, which is a sporadic occurrence. Our guide indicated that they have cultivated no use for the seaweed on the island because they don't know when and in what quantity it will wash up.
