Vinh Long (Vietnam) - Cette photo a été prise sur le bac qui traverse le Mékong pour se rendre sur la petite Île de An Binh, située en face de Vinh Long. L’homme arrivé avec une dizaine de caniches accrochés en grappe sur son scooter, n’est pas passé inaperçu. J’ai vu arriver sur le bac cet étrange équipage et j’ai été étonné de voir les chiens, calmes, tenir en équilibre sur le deux roues. Je dois avouer que je me suis demandé s'ils n’étaient pas destinés à finir comme ingrédients dans un plat vietnamien ? Mais les chiens étaient trop bien traités et en bonne santé. De plus, des petits chiens de race coûtent une petite fortune au Vietnam. Ces caniches finiront comme chien de compagnie. La seule maltraitance qui les attend est l’anthropomorphisme. Ils risquent d’être rapidement affublés d'une robe ou d'un pantalo. Pour un chien, au Vietnam, c’est un moindre mal.

Vinh Long (Vietnam) - This photo was taken on the ferry crossing the Mekong to the small island of An Binh, located opposite Vinh Long. The man who arrived with around ten poodles hanging in a cluster on his scooter did not go unnoticed. I saw this strange crew arrive on the ferry and was surprised to see the dogs balancing on the two-wheeled vehicle. I must admit that I wondered if these dogs were not destined to end up as ingredients in a Vietnamese dish? But the dogs were too well-treated and healthy. Besides, small purebred dogs cost a small fortune in Vietnam. These poodles will end up as pets. The only mistreatment awaiting them is anthropomorphism. They risk being quickly dressed up in a dress or pants. For a dog, in Vietnam, this is a lesser evil.
