Class 33, 106 passing over the level crossing at the site of Claydon Station at the rear of the “Concrete Cow” Hertfordshire Railtour Watford Junction-Milton Keynes Central return working on Saturday 12 January 1985. The train consisted of two 4-TC units. With the rebuilding of East-West-Rail this crossing has now been replaced by a bridge.
2-class 33s, No. 110 (at front) and 106 at rear passing the site of Claydon Station having just passed Verney Junction with the “Concrete Cow” Hertfordshire Railtour Watford Junction-Milton Keynes Central return working on Saturday 12 January 1985. The train consisted of two 4-TC units.
With the Pathfinders Railtours “The Verney Venturer” taking place on 15 February 2025 also involving two Class 33 this would mark almost exactly 40 years since the previous tour took place.

The 3rd of November 1962 and Class 33 D6570 and Class 24 D5007 are heading south at Clapham Junction. The train is a Dartford to Yeovil Football Special. Yeovil Town won the 1st Round FA Cup tie 3-2 in front of a crowd of 5,800, so a long and miserable trip home!
Note the driver hanging out of the back cab of the 24 which would I guess have been providing heat. There is a photo of the pair at Yeovil on the Derby Sulzers website.
D6570 was new in September 1961 and became 33052 under tops, withdrawl was in February 1997 and the loco is now preserved although I don't think it's active.
D5007 was new to Crewe in February 1959 and a Hither Green loco at this time. She was withdrawn as 24007 in October 1975 and cut up at Doncaster in January 1978.
