Ramapo Reservation at the Ramapo River in Mahwah, New Jersey. Spotted this Commorant doing some fishing. I was wishing I had a longer lens. the 18-200mm was not quite long enough.

Big Bite

When I saw the size of the fish I thought there was no way that the commorant would get it down. I was wrong.

Dinner Time

The image is not a very good one, but I had to post it. This commorant got his dinner and believe it or not he got it down. These birds are amazing. I have seen images where humans have trained these birds to go fish for them. I call them the little submarine birds because the swim underwater.
