My lifer “canebrake” phase from the Sandhills of North Carolina. This species rarely bites yet they have been sought after and killed for centuries.
In the Sandhills of NC, this species is very rare due to their unique ambush lifestyle which isn’t exactly easy in the xeric longleaf savannahs. They can be found in dense pockets of vegetations.
