Just a month after the Saratoga & North Creek started operations on this former D&H line, a southbound is leaving North Creek with SNC 8524 leading two great dome cars. It is passing RS-36 UHRX 5019, which had been used by the previous operators of the line (the Upper Hudson River Railroad). While both are wearing D&H colors, only 5019 is actually an ex-D&H unit. The last passenger run on this line (for now at least) took place yesterday.
MMA 8583 and the 9 cars behind it have been stranded on MMA's Stanbridge Sub since last summer. The reason for this is the poor condition of the track, which led to Transport Canada embargoing the line, and also led to a car derailing slightly further north, thus cutting off the only way this train could be moved by rail.
