Jota Aviation Avro RJ100 G JOTS about to touch down on runway 27 at Liverpool/John Lennon (EGGP), as Russian leisure airline Nordwind A330-302 VP BUH awaits to line up for departure. Jota ceased operations in April 2022 and G JOTS is one of several of the type that are now stored at Cranfield Bedfordshire, the A330 was returning empty to Moscow after delivering PPE from China, (Moscow and St Petersburg used as tech stop for fuel and crew changes),all have ceased due the war and will not be seen here again for a very long time!.

Was barely daylight when I got to work this morning, but I wanted to try for a wintery shot of the 146s and knew it would be dark by the time I left..

BAe RJ100 G JOTS of Jota Aviation landing at Liverpool/JL (EGGP), in the background A330-302 VP BUH of russian leisure & charter airline Nordwind awaits. Jota Aviation a UK charter & cargo airline ceased operations in April 2022 and most of their fleet are now stored at Cranfield Bedfordshire (EGTC). Nordwinds fleet are laid up in Moscow since Feb 2022 due to the Ukrainian invasion/sanctions and will probably remain non flying for quite some time to come.

No sooner than the RAF had retired it's last BAE 146 from service and RAF Northolt than the government hired this one in from JOTA Aviation to take the Minister of Defence to Norway. And no sooner had this happened than JOTA Aviation ceased operations in April 2022. I'm quite pleased I got this shot now of Avro RJ-100/BAE 146 G-JOTS on a hazy afternoon on the fence at Northolt, about to take off and head for colder climes. JOTA operated three of these types around the country, being based at Biggin Hill Airport. With the demise of this airline, 146 operators are now getting very thin on the ground!
