The Menier Chocolate Factory is a theatre located in the Southwark area of London, England. Originally a chocolate factory, the building was converted into a theatre in 2004 and has since become a popular venue for both plays and musicals. With a flexible yet small capacity, the Menier Chocolate Factory is known for its intimate and unique atmosphere, and has won numerous awards for its productions.
Since its opening, the Menier Chocolate Factory has played host to a variety of critically acclaimed productions, including several that have gone on to transfer to the West End and Broadway.

Die kleine Lock hatte ich schon fast 40 Jahre zuvor meinem Sohn David (der Vater der beiden) vorgelesen. Das Buch bekommt natürlich Nora, damit sie es in ferner Zukunft ihren Kindern vorlesen kann! Seufz!

When writer Holly Martins arrives in Vienna to visit his old friend Harry Lime, Lime is being buried. However, Martins discovers that Lime is alive and well and staged his death so that he could pursue his black market business in stolen penicillin.
In Carol Reed's classic crime film, based on a story by Graham Greene, destroyed Vienna is the true protagonist. Cameraman Robert Krasker expressively filmed the countless ruins, dark alleys and, in the gripping finale, even the city's sewage system. The atmospheric density is complemented by Anton Karas' world-famous zither theme and Orson Welles' brilliant delivery.

Taken with my beloved (now broken after skiing mishap) Konica C35 AF2 on Cinestill 800. For history enthusiasts, the pub has an interesting background. The original Landlord, Derrick Carver, was burnt as a martyr for his religious beliefs and one of its most famous “guests” in the past was Jack the Ripper – in The Greene Room upstairs, you can spend some time following the story of his origins and how he planned his murders from this very spot. Perhaps most famously, this is also the pub immortalised by Graham Greene in his classic novel ‘Brighton Rock’.
