Je vais recommencer mes travaux sur la maison à l'extérieur demain, j'aimerais terminer ceux-ci avant un petit voyage aux parulines dans le sud de l'Ontario un peu plus tard ce printemps. Alors, je vais essayer de conserver la cadence sur Flickr, mais c'est incertain... Pour l'instant, voici une autre prise du même genre que la précédente de ce magnifique Grand-pic aux ailes déployées au maximum.

I'll be starting my outdoor work on the house again tomorrow. I'd like to finish it before a little bird trip to southern Ontario later this spring. So, I'll try to keep up the pace on Flickr, but it's uncertain… For now, here's another shot similar to the previous one of this magnificent Pileated Woodpecker with its wings spread wide.

De retour à Saint-Hippolyte, Comme j'ai beaucoup travaillé sur la maison l'été passé et durant l'hiver, j'ai naturellement beaucoup moins voyagé, alors j'ai une quantité limitée de sujets aviaires à présenter… Mais d'un autre côté, j'ai eu l'occasion d'approfondir mes connaissances sur ces oiseaux et de parfaire mes connaissances.
Je vous reviens donc avec ce magnifique Grand-pic qui m'a offert tellement de superbes occasions photographiques.

Back in Saint-Hippolyte, since I worked a lot on the house last summer and during the winter, I naturally traveled much less, so I have a limited number of avian subjects to present to you… But on the other hand, I had the opportunity to deepen my knowledge of these birds and perfect my skills.
So, I'm back with this magnificent Pileated woodpecker, which has provided me with so many superb photographic opportunities.

Je reviens avec ce magnifique Grand-pic mâle qui passe sporadiquement sur le flanc de la montagne derrière chez moi.
Une façon pour moi de relaxer et méditer est de m'assoir dans ma petite chaise-tente camouflage avec ma caméra et d'attendre et écouter les oiseaux et animaux qui circulent autour de moi. Une heure ou plus parfois, quand la température m'inspire comme une belle lumière, pluie ou neige. Le truc, c'est comme à la chasse, être à l'affût avant que le ou les sujets se présentent devant moi. Comme ce Grand-pic qui annonce son passage d'arbre en arbre, habituellement, il me donne souvent l'occasion de me préparer pour des captures au vol.

I'm back with this magnificent male Pileated Woodpecker that sporadically passes on the flack of the mountainside behind my house.
One way I like to relax and meditate is to sit in my little camouflaged chair-tent with my camera and wait and listen to the birds and animals that move around me. Sometimes for an hour or more, when the weather inspires me, like beautiful light, rain, or snow. The trick is, like when hunting, to be on the lookout before the subject(s) appear in front of me. Like this Pileated Woodpecker announcing its passage as it goes from tree to tree, it often gives me the opportunity to prepare for flight captures.
